The Greatest Show on Snow, the world’s most premium music and snowsports festival and a mystical, magical and unrivalled celebration of music and all things daft in a resort in the heart of the Austrian Alps… we’ve heard it all before in regards to Snowbombing, our flagship European festival and the beating heart of Broadwick Live’s festival portfolio. 2016 was the 18th edition of the event, and the 14th consecutive edition it has been held in the beautiful, chocolate box resort of Maxyrhofen, Austria, a resort nestled in the heart of the Zillertal Valley. This years lineup saw a third return from The Prodigy, perhaps Snowbombing’s house band du jour by this point, alongside exciting appearances from Skepta, Hannah Wants, Fatboy Slim, Andy C plus debut appearances from indie rockers Bastille, Techno demi-god Sven Vath and many more.
Our headline venue The Racket Club witnessed a considerable upgrade in sound and light technical production, with a eye searing panel of stage screens dominating the stage alongside an astounding lighting truss overhead, which gave the venue a more established arena style atmosphere. The Arctic Disco, our sub-bass bass ast six thousand feet, saw several legendary parties across the week whilst our two Forest Parties featuring Bastille and The Prodigy were unreserved stormers. With a record attendance and glowing customer feedback across social media and the official post-event survey, Snowbombing 2016 again took the event to unchartered waters and created countless more reasons why it is the undisputed champion of music festivals on snow…
